Ltd The project marks a solid step towards the development of smart sensor industry, which is of great significance for Aosong to build an ecological cluster of the whole industry chain of MEMS chip for smart sensors.
Aosong Semiconductor's 8-inch MEMS semiconductor IDM industrial base, which has been approved by the relevant state ministries and commissions, has officially landed in Chongqing Hi-tech Zone. The project has a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan, with a land area of about 230 acres, including 8-inch CMOS + MEMS featured sensor chip mass production line, 8-inch MEMS featured wafer fast R & D line, smart sensor innovation R&D center, automotive-grade sensor reliability testing center, industry-university-research research centers, and Aosong Semiconductor R&D office building and other construction projects, with the technical capability of covering CMOS + MEMS featured process. The project can realize the R&D and mass production of various MEMS sensor products.
The project can comprehensively carry out the R&D and mass production of surface silicon, body silicon, new processes, new devices and new systems; it has R&D and mass production equipment for MEMS piezoresistive, piezoelectric, silicon optical, magnetic materials, MOX, microfluidics and other related processes, which can greatly improve the success rate of product development and realize the seamless connection from R&D to mass production.
Aosong Semiconductor will also be oriented to the western Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and related industries at home and abroad to provide some of the MEMS characteristics of semiconductor chip development cooperation, equipment sharing, technical support and other services. After the completion of the project, it will provide strong protection for the core components of the supply chain of strategic pillar industries and strategic emerging industries, such as automobile, rail transportation, biomedical and health care, intelligent home appliances, intelligent robots, high-end equipment manufacturing, precision instrumentation, smart grid, Internet of Things, and other strategic pillar industries in the western Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. In the mode of product cooperation and development with customers, through joint research and development, process integration, production docking, project cultivation and other innovative forms, to shorten the cycle of research and development and manufacturing, accelerate product iteration, and promote the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.
